Additional Notes:
The right side of the plane could be removed for rabbeting work. The skewed cutting iron is bedded at a standard angle of 20 degrees.
On early models the number was cast into the body and the knob was rosewood (cocobolo). Later models came with a tropical hardwood knob.
Previous to 1956 the knob screw was hidden. Afterwards the screw was attached from the top of the knob.
