The Mohawk-Shelburne Line
Bottom and frog of fine gray iron castings. Bottom and sides milled and polished. Inside black enameled. Plane iron of good quality steel, carefully hardened and tempered. Lever side adjustment and screw depth adjustment of cutter. Hardwood handle and knob with black lacquer finish. Clamp lever handle finished in red. (1938 description)
Easily adjustable for depth of cut and angle of blade. Solid tool steel 2″ cutter. Bottom and sides are polished. Inside of bottom, lever cap and frog in red and gray enamel. Knob and handle of choice hardwood with rich black finish. Length 14 inches. (1961 description)
